Occupational Therapy team delivered a bespoke training session to the staff of Rye Oak Primary School in Peckham to assist them with their learners.

Mrs Chantal Bailie and her team talked through how sensory circuits could be delivered to a flexible number of students in a variety of spaces, using resources readily available in all schools. These circuits help students reach the “just right” level of alertness, keeping them calm, focused, and ready to learn. Regular sensory activities support students in managing their sensory needs, reducing the risk of dysregulation and improving classroom behavior.

The feedback from the session was wholly positive and we look forward to offering similar masterclasses to other schools in the future to help spread our deep knowledge and expertise far and wide.
