COVID-19- Summer Term 2020 – Message from the Headmaster
COVID-19 took us all by surprise, Fairley House School took the decision to teach a normal timetable online so as to keep the pupils engaged and provide the usual school routine. The feedback from parents, students and teachers was all very encouraging. The routine was a vital part in keeping the pupils motivated throughout the period. The normal timetabled lessons maintained good structure for all to follow and was familiar, this reduced the anxiety of change. Staff had interaction with their students on a daily basis and could work through the curriculum and continue the bespoke education we pride ourselves on. If you would like any information on how our online teaching worked, please do not hesitate to call and ask.
Admissions are continuing and will do so throughout the summer period. The structure is slightly different for a September 2020 start, please do call if you would like any further information. If you are interested in a place, post September 2020 then the process will follow as the website explains. We would be delighted to provide a tour of the school if requested, although we are decorating and some building work will be going on, as we prepare for opening in September 2020.
September 2020 - it is my hope and aim to have all the pupils return to school in September. The structure and size of the school should allow for this, therefore I am quietly confident. We may need to make some changes to our lunch and break times, but this will not prevent us from opening. We are obviously keeping up to date with the Government guidelines and will keep all posted on how this may impact the school. My advice in regards to Fairley House is to expect us to open as usual, we look forward to welcoming you.
