Pupils at Fairley House enjoy access to up to date computing facilities and software within a networked environment that encompasses all aspects of the school. ICT is often strength for pupils with specific learning difficulties.
ICT is taught through the Key Stages incorporating Word, Specs, Photoshop, Excel, Powerpoint and many other programs.
Maths
Many dyslexic children have difficulty picking up mathematical ideas. We know they have difficulty in language, and this includes maths language. Memory difficulties make learning tables and number bonds challenging.
PHSEE
PSHEE is Personal, Social, Health and Economics Education.
It aims to help pupils to lead confident, healthy and responsible lives as individuals and members of society.
RE
RE teaches the major world religions. Many of the units of work cover elements of other subjects and especially PSHEE and Citizenship. ICT is used for research.
